Book TicketsJoin us in Turner’s garden to be inspired by Turner’s largest masterpiece- the house he designed himself with the influence of his good friend, John Soane. Your ticket includes private access to Turner’s House and garden and sketching materials; please feel free to bring any other mediums you wish to work in.
Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided.
All levels and abilities welcome, ground floor accessible. Private access to the House is included, or your ticket will include complimentary access to join our 12.30pm guided tour.
This fascinating exhibition explores the history of J.M.W. Turner’s painting Margate(?), from the Sea (1835–40), and explains the complex legacy of his will and the large body of work known as the Turner Bequest.
Join us for a delightfully decadent afternoon painting botanicals and wildflowers on vintage dictionary and sheet music paper, served with scones, tea and conversation, inspired by Turner’s beautiful gardens. Pen and ink, gouache and acrylic paints all provided. All materials provided and the workshop will be held on the accessible ground floor.
This lecture series will give the opportunity to dive deeper into the story of Turner’s bequest, his legacy today, and the relation with Margate.
