Join us at Turner’s House for a pop up Christmas mini market; local makers and artisans, artists and products, with a mulled cider and a mince pie!
Sunday 6th December 11am-4pm.
If you are interested in being part of the pop up fair, 8 spaces are available at £ 65/each and allocated at the start of November- please email partnerships@turnershouse.org for the chance to get a spot. We will be curating this so that we can offer different products, skills and gift ideas
This fascinating exhibition explores the history of J.M.W. Turner’s painting Margate(?), from the Sea (1835–40), and explains the complex legacy of his will and the large body of work known as the Turner Bequest.
A focused workshop inspired by a painting by Turner, featuring an illustrated introduction followed by a practical art session exploring themes, techniques, and ideas drawn from the work. Westminster Abbey, Bishop Islip’s Chapel, 1796
This lecture series will give the opportunity to dive deeper into the story of Turner’s bequest, his legacy today, and the relation with Margate.
