The Friends of Turner’s House was set up in 2004 to support Professor Livermore (the last owner of the house) in his wish to preserve the house for the nation. The Friends continue to support the aim of Turner’s House Trust to maintain Sandycombe Lodge as a small museum and learning centre.
The Friends of Turner’s House raise funds to support the house through membership and organising an annual programme of events. We hold talks and arrange visits to galleries and exhibitions to deepen our understanding of Turner, his times and his art. We also organise events where members can meet and socialise.
