The workshop will be led by Will Parker, a local artist who is putting the map together. The workshop will take place in the garden of Turner’s House, and an introduction to the history of the house and its great designer will be provided.

This fascinating exhibition explores the history of J.M.W. Turner’s painting Margate(?), from the Sea (1835–40), and explains the complex legacy of his will and the large body of work known as the Turner Bequest.
A focused workshop inspired by a painting by Turner, featuring an illustrated introduction followed by a practical art session exploring themes, techniques, and ideas drawn from the work. Westminster Abbey, Bishop Islip’s Chapel, 1796
This lecture series will give the opportunity to dive deeper into the story of Turner’s bequest, his legacy today, and the relation with Margate.
