150th Birthday Celebrations of St Margarets Station

150th Birthday Celebrations of St Margarets Station

On 3 October 2026, Turner’s House joined the celebrations marking the 150th birthday of St Margarets Station, with the unveiling of a new mural on Platform 3.

The mural is part of a Southeast Communities Rail Partnership project, created in collaboration with Turner’s House and the Friends of St Margarets Station.

Artist Will Parker brought together drawings by local children and ideas from the community to create a colourful and whimsical map celebrating the local area.
Children from three local schools: St Stephen’s, Orleans Primary and St Mary’s, contributed their creativity and ideas to the project.

We were delighted to be part of this wonderful community celebration and to see local stories and young imaginations brought together in a permanent artwork for St Margarets Station.
