We’re thrilled to have had international star Ronnie Wood — an artist himself and a huge Turner fan — here supporting us for the opening of Unfinished Business: The Mystery of Margate and Turner’s Bequest.

The exhibition explores the story behind J.M.W. Turner’s Margate (?), from the Sea and the complex legacy of the Turner Bequest. Developed in partnership with the National Gallery, it traces how this painting — deemed unfinished and left uncatalogued for over 50 years — was rediscovered in 1905 and went on to reshape how Turner’s late work is understood. Unfinished Business runs at Turner’s House until 25 October 2026, with support from the National Gallery, ARTScapades, and Stone Rowe Brewer LLP.
